Ghosties and Ghulies

First in the 12 part series....all too cute for words and most are incredibly easy to assemble.

Ghosties and Ghulies is quick and easy.  Here is a list of necessary supplies:

Chipboard
Low-loft quilt batting
Fabric glue
Black mini-ball fringe
Black twisted cord for hanger
Weeks Dye Work Wool

Measure width and height of your completed ornament.  Add 1/4 inch to each measurement.  You will have 1/8 inch "extra" on each side.

Use the measurement to cut one piece of chipboard.  Use glue to adhere batting to one side of the form.....do not "globby" glue.  Use very little.

Center stitching on top of padded board.

Use glue, tape, or hand stitch the ball fringe around the outside of the ornament.

Use black twisted cord (two 2-ply lengths) or any black cording to fashion the hanger.  Fold cording in half and glue/tape ends to the back.  I left a two inch loop for hanging.

Once the hanger and fringe is dry use the fabric glue to adhere the form to the Weeks Wool.  I used an orange color to contrast with the black ball fringe.

Use a pinking blade rotary cutter or pinking shears to add the zig zag edge.  I cut mine 1/8 inch from the outside of the ball fringe.

Ornament one is done....only eleven more to go.
