Was the peppermint ribbon sold by itself or in a pack with other ribbons? On a roll or cardboard? Wasn't able to find it....
ReplyDeleteWhat is chipboard? I don't have a hobby lobby near me, so i went on line and when I typed in chipboard - it only brought up cut out letters? Is it like mat board?
ReplyDeleteYvonne..peppermint ribbon is sold in tiny rolls in the scrapbook area. Hobby Lobby also sales it on line. I have some extra rolls if you can't find any.
ReplyDeletePat..it is lighter weight than mat board...looks like the back on an old fashion tablet...grayish and heavier than poster board but less than mat....excellent for smaller projects.
Mona
So you could use the back of a pad of paper? Would that work?
DeleteThis is such a fun thing for you to do, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI just found the peppermint ribbon on sale for 69 cents online.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you put in to find it? I put peppermint ribbon in the search line and it brought up 3200+ things. :(
Deleteyeah, Karen....way to go.
ReplyDeleteDo you know if there are anymore of the ribbons that will be used? I live in small town here in Kansas and am going to order on-line.
DeleteYes, just bits and pieces of red, white and green 1/4 inch ribbon...they will be used in several designs.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 stitched so far!!love them
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your time and expertise in doing this. I love cross stitch but have done a lot of less than happy with finishing simply because I didn't know all the important little steps. Can not wait to get started!!!
ReplyDeleteWhich tools do you recommend for cutting the chipboard to get clean cuts? And what is the surface you put the chipboard on for cutting ... anything like a self-healing mat like Xacto makes?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Cheryl. I use an old paper cutter. And for small projects kitchen shears from pampered chef
