October 31st

Another super easy pillow.

Iron the back of your stitching and interface using fusible interfacing.  Trim leaving 3/4 inch of linen on all four sides.  Cut a piece of interfaced cotton fabric for the back.

Sew with right sides together using 3/8 inch seams.  Leave 2.5 inches open to turn pillow.

Trim corners and turn right side out.

Stuff and slip stitch close the opening.

Trim pillow beginning at upper left corner.  Attach cording with glue or by hand. Once you return to top right use corn to form hanger. Knot and sew end to upper left corner.

Easy peasie!

Haunted!!!

Haunted is another quick and easy finishing option.

Cut two pieces of chipboard.  Stitching board is 1/4 inch larger than actual design.  Backing board is 1/2 inch larger than the front.

Cover one with low loft quilt batting and center stitching on top.  Other piece gets no fluff and is covered with backing fabric.

Cover the backside of the larger piece with felted wool or felt.  Use pinking shears or a decorative rotary blade to cut the edges.

Use jute to form hanger and secure it to the back of stitched covered form.  Use glue/tape to keep it secure.

Center and glue stitching to back piece.  Use a book to apply pressure...do not "globby" glue or will stitch to the book!!!   Attach jute bow at bottom.

Enjoy!
