Let It Snow!!!

How cute is the new Lizzie Kate Snow Story.  Here are a few quick tips to help make yours look just like our model.

First pick up a package of the unpainted snowflakes from Hobby Lobby.

Paint them white...spray paint for craft paint works great.  Don't stress if there are some imperfections   Now for the magic!!!  Grap a can of Krylon spray glitter or pain glitter and glitz them up!

Measure your finished pieces and add 1/4 inch to height and width.  Cut six pieces of comic board or chipboard using your measurements.  Fluff three boards.
Center stitching and lace or glue to back of padded boards.
Don't they look great.
Make twisted cord and attach to outside edge. I added one strand Artic Rays to the white for a frosty look.
Use the three extra pieces of comic board to cover the backs.
Center and glue each completed piece to a snowflake. Add bow and enjoy!
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season!

Witchy broom....made by you!

I have used a cute little broom on a couple of the new Lizzie*Kate pillows.  Several have asked where they can buy them....surprise I made them and so can you.

Here is what you will need

The handle is made from a toothpick or bamboo skewer.  Using a pair of craft scissors cut a two inch length...using a toothpick just clip off the pointed end.

Take a length of raffia and a accordian pleat it .  Wrap around the stick.

Take a 10 inch length of floss....black or a fun color used in your stitched piece...and wrap around the raffia.  Tie securely and add a drop of glue.

Give the raffia a haircut and fluff out the ends....perfect little broom for those cute Halloween finishes.

The Pocket

Next comes the pocket....remember  your pocket can be any shape you want.  What we did is just a suggestion. Look at the template and you ...
