Where is she??!

I
have been traveling!!!  My plans were to have several post ready and send them during my fabulous trip. Didn't happen.

We saw so much history....my favorite...and beautiful countryside.  Too much to actually absorb in a few weeks.  I will leave you with a couple of pictures and plans to meet you here early next week.

Ghosties and Ghulies

First in the 12 part series....all too cute for words and most are incredibly easy to assemble.

Ghosties and Ghulies is quick and easy.  Here is a list of necessary supplies:

Chipboard
Low-loft quilt batting
Fabric glue
Black mini-ball fringe
Black twisted cord for hanger
Weeks Dye Work Wool

Measure width and height of your completed ornament.  Add 1/4 inch to each measurement.  You will have 1/8 inch "extra" on each side.

Use the measurement to cut one piece of chipboard.  Use glue to adhere batting to one side of the form.....do not "globby" glue.  Use very little.

Center stitching on top of padded board.

Use glue, tape, or hand stitch the ball fringe around the outside of the ornament.

Use black twisted cord (two 2-ply lengths) or any black cording to fashion the hanger.  Fold cording in half and glue/tape ends to the back.  I left a two inch loop for hanging.

Once the hanger and fringe is dry use the fabric glue to adhere the form to the Weeks Wool.  I used an orange color to contrast with the black ball fringe.

Use a pinking blade rotary cutter or pinking shears to add the zig zag edge.  I cut mine 1/8 inch from the outside of the ball fringe.

Ornament one is done....only eleven more to go.

Are you ready to Tingle????

The weather is hot and muggy here in Oklahoma.  We can't change the weather but we can look ahead to my favorite season.....fall!

Our favorite designer, Lizzie * Kate, has a wonderful new series--Tingles!!  Over the next couple months we will have finishing instructions for all twelve ornaments.

Join me tomorrow for our first installment--it will really "Tingle" your spirit.

The Pocket

Next comes the pocket....remember  your pocket can be any shape you want.  What we did is just a suggestion. Look at the template and you ...
